The 3DO Company today announced the launch of the 3DO World Wide Web (WWW) site located at http://www.3do.com. Just in time for the Electronics Entertainment Expo (E3), the site will provide users with a direct line into what’s hot at the show, as well as a wealth of screen shots, video clips, and product descriptions of many of the current and upcoming 3DO products. In addition, 3DO’s heavily populated America On-Line (AOL) forum takes to the road going on-line from E3 several times each day for an interactive experience with 3DO executives and other special guests.

Our customers thrive on the on-line services and prefer that medium for giving and receiving information,” said Steve Fowler, Vice President of Developer and Customer Service, The 3DO Company.

This week, consumers are sure to flock to the nets for up-to-the-minute information surrounding the activities at E3. 3DO’s Web site and AOL forum will be a must stop for those who want to be in the know.”

3DO’s Web site makes its debut along with this year’s first E3. Live from the showroom floor, 3DO’s team of Web experts will update the site with “E3: Daily Highlights,” starting Thursday, May 11, that will include day-to-day activity reports and photos from the show. In addition, users will have an opportunity to check out the array of hot new titles coming from Studio 3DO this year and preview 3DO’s highly anticipated M2 technology. Intense graphics, multiple screen shots, product descriptions, and video clips will enhance the users’ experience.

Additionally, the 3DO Web site provides users access to five different categories: Hot Line-what’s new and happening in the 3DO universe; Hard Line-everything you ever wanted to know about 3DO hardware; Pipe Line-screen shots, product descriptions and sneak peaks at upcoming 3DO software; Company Line-the latest information that will be available on-line in the near future.

AOL Forum Continuing its success, 3DO’s AOL forum ramps up during E3 with two to three forums per day. Steve Fowler will host each on-line chat with guest speakers throughout the show, including Trip Hawkins, President and CEO of The 3DO Company. Hawkins will be live from E3 on the forum, Thursday, May 11 at 7:30PM (PDT) for a discussion about the latest 3DO news. He will respond to user questions on 3DO software, hardware, peripherals, and the M2 technology. M2 demos and other M2 graphics will be available for forum participants to download.
