Just in time for budget conscious consumers, LG Electronics U.S.A., Inc. today announced that the Goldstar 3DO(TM) Interactive Multiplayer System is now available for $199 at retail outlets nationwide. Included in the $199 price is an extra $30 Goldstar 3DO controller (Model 111M 30) and two top-selling software titles.

The holiday season is one of the most exciting times of the year and we are pleased to offer game enthusiasts an advanced 32-bit game system at a price point below $200,” said Jim Ireton, vice president for the HiMedia Group at LG Electronics.

Advances in technology allow us to be the first 32-bit CD-ROM gaming system to hit this price point,” said Ireton.

The $199 package is available wherever Goldstar 3DO systems are sold, including such leading U.S. retailers as Babbage’s, Electronics Boutique, Software Etc. and Best Buy. The Goldstar 3DO system comes bundled with two critically-acclaimed titles: Shock Wave and FIFA International Soccer (TM), a $130 value. Free controllers are available at point of purchase.
